Memorial Crosses Show Extent of Abortion Tragedy!
As you traveled throughout St. Mary's County in the past year, you
probably have seen many crosses standing tall at various Catholic and
Protestant churches. St. Mary's County Right to Life in partnership
with the Knights of Columbus and Charles County Right to Life have
installed either of 2 different sets of Memorial Crosses, along with one
sign that states, "721 American Babies die every hour by Choice! Respect
Life," and another sign, which states, "Let us Commemorate all American
Babies who have died by Choice. Respect Life."
Thirty-six churches and 3 schools from Southern Maryland and well
beyond (including some Universities) have
participated in this non-violent memorial that honors the unborn slain by
abortion. As of June 2, 2007, 73rd
installations have taken place since the inception date of January, 2004.
We cannot show all of these memorials, but some are
displayed below. We should note that other states have contacted Jim
McFillin on this concept.
These memorial displays are a powerful
witness, and have helped folks comprehend the vast
numbers of unborn babies, who die every day through abortion. The 721
crosses represent the number of children, who are killed each hour of
every working day. These crosses commemorate the unborn. We mourn for them
and their families. We hope to change hearts! If you think
that your church/ group would want to display the memorial crosses, please
contact STMRTL at 301-475-LIFE or Jim McFillin at 301-342-5720.
